Confidence in the police from Farnworth town centre business owners is ‘at rock bottom’ after a spate of recent break-ins, councillors have heard.

Bolton’s full council heard that there has been a persistent problem with burglaries with premises being broken into each night.

A recent example happened at the Royal Balti House which was targeted just before 5.30am on Sunday, November 21. CCTV footage from the restaurant showed a man rooting through the restaurant’s upstairs office where money was allegedly taken.

The man then made his way downstairs into the restaurant and heads behind the till, where he appears to steal more money and an iPad.
