German football bosses have agreed to resume the Bundesliga season on May 9 - if Government officials give them permission.
The German FA met with clubs today to discuss plans for the remainder of the campaign in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.
It is understood 36 clubs in the top two divisions voted in favour of staging matches again next month - meaning the Bundesliga could be set to become the first major European league to resume amid pandemic.
The final plan still needs the go-ahead from the Government, but it is proposed that matches will continue behind closed doors with a maximum of 322 people allowed in and around stadiums for top-flight Bundesliga matches and 270 for second-tier games.
