Building sites in London will not be shutting down despite workers packing overcrowded Underground every day, the Government has said.
It comes after shocking footage and photos showed people cramming into packed carriages across the capital during the morning rush last week.
Industry bosses were reportedly drawing up plans over the weekend as they look for ways of cutting the amount of workers using the transport network as coronavirus continues to surge.
An emergency summit was understood to have been held but Downing Street said it has no plans to shut construction sites in the capital, despite reports.
