Brits have been warned it is “far too early” to think about booking a holiday abroad this summer. Home Secretary Priti Patel said she could not speculate on when restrictions will be lifted when asked if families can start booking breaks.
Speaking at the Downing Street press conference, she said: “It is far too early to speculate around restrictions such as the point you’ve just made, should people be booking a holiday.” She added that for now, “we are in a lockdown - the public should be staying at home.” Anyone wanting to leave the UK faces a complex tangle of restrictions during the current lockdown.
