2,000 adults answered a survey about what gives them a spring in their step. Participants named grin-worthy activities such as having sex, sipping a hot cup of tea and getting some fresh air.
Putting the 'out of office' reply on ahead of time off and finding forgotten money in a coat or item of clothing also offers a pick-me-up.
Other energy boosters include waking up on a sunny day, chocolate and having a laugh with friends. One in five, however, get an energy boost simply from doing a good deed for someone else.
