Bold tourists could soon be booking a room with a heavenly view – in space.The technology to take us on an out-of-this-world holiday in a space hotel is being developed.John Whalley, chief executive of Aerospace Wales, said: “I would say within five years it would be feasible.“One day it could be that tourists are taken into space to stay at space stations – sort of like space hotels.
But we are not there yet.“Ships might be able to take tourists to the very edge of space so they can experience the weightlessness and the g-force that real astronauts do.
