Britain's first transgender parents have welcomed their new baby daughter and shared an adorable family snap. Hannah and Jake Graf cradled their newborn after choosing a surrogate to give birth to their child.
Mum Hannah, 33, served as the highest-ranking trans officer in the British Army, before she left in 2018 to start a family. She came out as a transgender woman in 2013 after serving in Afghanistan as Captain Winterbourne.
Hannah met Jake, 42, who had transitioned in 2008 and the couple went on to use frozen eggs after Jake briefly came off testosterone.
The pair also chose a sperm donor before the fertilised egg was implanted in their chosen surrogate who gave birth on Tuesday.
