The British mum killed by a speedboat in Corfu while out swimming desperately waved for help after being struck, say eyewitnesses.
Claire Glatman, 60, died after being hit by the boat’s propeller off Avlaki beach in Corfu on Monday. Her body was discovered by a swimmer and pulled from the water around 10am before she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The mum-of-four lived in Bedale, North Yorkshire. She is the wife of multimillionaire property tycoon Mark Glatman and they were on a family holiday with the eldest of their two daughters.
The couple also have two sons. It is believed the speedboat was pulling water skiers when it collided with Mrs Glatman and failed to stop after striking her.
