BrewDog becomes world's first 'carbon negative' international beer business

Join thousands of others who have signed up to the weekly Scotland Now newsletter for the latest Scottish heritage and culture news.Scottish beer giants BrewDog have declared that they are now 'carbon negative' with ambitious new plans including switching to wind power and planting acres of trees.The beer brand stated that as of Saturday August 21,  it has become the "world's first carbon-negative international beer business".The drinks firm announced that it now aims to remove twice as much carbon from the air than it emits every single year.Plans include switching their breweries to wind power and purchasing 2,050 acres of Scottish Highlands just north of Loch Lomond, to creating the BrewDog Forest, where they will plant one million trees.
