Hollywood actress' family announced that she died to natural causes in Palm Desert in California on Saturday (March 2).Estelle famously plated George Costanza's mum on Seinfeld and voiced Toy Story's Mrs Potato Head.
Her son Glen Harris revealed to Deadline: "It is with the greatest remorse and sadness to announce that Estelle Harris has passed on this evening at 6:25 p.m."Her kindness, passion, sensitivity, humor, empathy, and love were practically unrivaled, and she will be terribly missed by all those who knew her."After the nine-season run of Seinfeld ended in 1998, Harris continued to appear on stage and screen.
Estelle was well-known for her parts in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody where she played apathetic hotel housekeeper Muriel, whose catchphrase was, "I'm not cleaning that up."She acted and voiced several other Disney shows and films, such as Kim Possible, The Proud Family, Sonny With a Chance, Phil of the Future, Tarzan 2 and Brother Bear.She also made cameos on Law & Order, Night Court, Star Trek: Voyager, House of Mouse, ER and Futurama.Her most recent credit was 2019's Toy Story 4.She had more than 100 film titles in her resume over her 45-year career and became known as a maternal figure, often playing the mom on shows.
The actress was born on April 4, 1928, in Manhattan, and got her start in Hollywood in Looking Up and then Once Upon a Time in America before landing a 3-episode gig on Night Court.
