Rivaldo has explained how he believes the classic No. 9 role is seeping out of football in today's game. The Barcelona legend has scored a ton of goals over his long career that saw his trophy cabinet swell.
For Brazil, he scored an impressive 35 goals as he helped the country land the 2002 World Cup, 1995 Copa America and 1997 Confederations Cup.
And at club level, he had his best spell at Barca where he netted 130 times across five seasons. In the process, it saw the Nou Camp outfit win La Liga twice, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey.
So Rivaldo knows a thing or two about being a striker. Yet he believes that the classic No. 9 role is being phased out by today's new strikers.
