This Morning 's Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby spoke to brave eight-year-old Evie Hodgson, who suffers from a rare blood disorder that was diagnosed in lockdown.
Evie was diagnosed with aplastic anemia, which causes bone marrow failure, during lockdown in May. Her life depends on a stem cell donor, and they found a match but the donor pulled out a few weeks before the transplant was scheduled, leaving the devastated family back at square one.
Evie's mum Tina explained: "Evie was a healthy eight-year-old girl, enjoying bike rides and an active life, and it was the rash that we first noticed, and we took her to hospital." Doctors initially thought she may be suffering from meningitis, and took blood tests and sent Evie home with
