Boy, 9, killed after being thrown off mechanical bull as he 'smashed against the ground'

READ MORE: EXCLUSIVE 'Frightened' Putin 'getting closer to launching nuclear strike' warns ex-RAF chief The incident took place on Saturday night (October 8) in Lobosillo near Murcia in southeast Spain.Confirming his death, a regional government-run emergency services coordination centre spokesperson said: “Emergency health responders were unable to save the life of a nine-year-old boy who went into cardiac arrest after falling from a mechanical bull in the Murcian village of Lobosillo."As morning came today, (October 9) the details of the boy’s death were still not clear.The incident took place at around 10pm in the small town of Lobosillo, around 25 miles south of Murcia.Local authorities are now investigating the incident.According to the Spanish outlet 'La Opinion de Murcia, a witness explained the boy hadn’t been "unable to hold on well and fell against the ground".Deaths from bucking bulls are not unheard of.In the UK last year a bride-to-be died in Sheffield, South Yorkshire after she fell from a mechanical bucking Bronce at a rodeo bar.Jessica Lally, 26, left behind devastated loved ones, including her partner she was due to marry that year.A spokesperson for the venue said after news of the tragedy emerged said: “There was an incident involving a young lady in our venue who after receiving medical help, sadly passed away.“She passed all of our safety checks before mounting the bull.
