Henry Cavill has spoken about missing out of the role of Edward Cullen in the Twilight films, as the film's author Stephenie Meyer had hoped he would get the role.The 39-year-old star, appearing on Happy Sad Confused podcast Wednesday, said that he was not aware Meyer had hoped he would get the role, which he was passed over for at 24 due to being too old to play the high school vampire.The British actor said he felt there was no rivalry with Pattinson because he never knew he was wanted for the role in the first place.
