Bob Odenkirk's new action revenge-thriller Nobody was a somebody at the weekend box office, opening to a pleasing $6.7 million domestically as more theaters in Los Angeles and the rest of West Coast reopen.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ilya Naishuller of Hardcore Henry fame and written by John Wick creator Derek Kolstad, the Universal film had no trouble topping the chart after being embraced by audiences and critics alike (don't be surprised if there are sequels, similar to the Taken and John Wick franchises).
In the movie, Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) plays a nobody living an unremarkable life who shakes things up when his family is robbed.
