With Sergio Aguero out of contract this summer, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola could look to recruit a new number nine, while United are also interested in adding a recognised striker to their forward line.
United were keen on signing Haaland before his move to Dortmund was confirmed in December 2019, while City have also been credited with an interested in the Norwegian.
Speaking to Welt am Sonntag, Zorc said that Dortmund will "try to keep him (Haaland) as long as possible for sporting reasons", with qualifying for next season's Champions League an important.
