The Prime Minister has said that he wants to see the two metre rule reduced - despite warnings from the medical experts. Boris Johnson today said: "Eventually I would like to do things such as reducing the two metre rule." But his Chief medical officer Professor Chris Whitty said the two-metre rule will continue for as long as the coronavirus pandemic exists.
The Prime Minister told the daily briefing: "We are seeing continuous falls in this disease, in deaths, in incidents. "That's why we've been able to take the very cautious steps that we have. "We want to take some more steps to unlock our society and try to get back to as normal as possible. "Eventually I would like to do such things as reducing the two metre rule, for instance." He
