Boris Johnson has returned to warning of the need to "protect the NHS" as he considers a new crackdown to curb rising rates of coronavirus.
The Prime Minister dropped the original slogan of "stay home, protect the NHS, save lives" earlier this year as the national lockdown started to ease.
But concern about surging coronavirus rates has prompted fresh concern in Government about the pressure on the health service in the winter months.
A meeting of the Government's COBRA emergency committee with be held on Tuesday and Mr Johnson is due to call the leaders of the devolved administrations later today.
