Normally, those players who are not getting many minutes in the first team would be able to get some games under their belts in the under-23s set up.
But Wanderers confirmed earlier this year a downgrading of their academy from category 2 to category 3 status. And with that move was confirmed that the club's under-23s side would be discontinued.
