The Trotters currently have a near fully fit squad to choose from, with the only notable absentees being long-term injured midfielder Dennis Politic who is poised to be out for the season and defender Harry Brockbank, who is not expected to be back before Christmas. Normally, those players who are not getting many minutes in the first team would be able to get some games under their belts in the under-23s set up.
