Officers on Friday afternoon confirmed that the body of a man had been discovered.No further details were disclosed.On Saturday afternoon police revealed that the deceased was a 76-year-old man.At this stage there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the 'sudden death'.A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.A Police Scotland spokeswoman told the Record: “Police were called at around 2.40pm on Friday, July 2, 2021 to the Forth and Clyde Canal in Falkirk following the discovery of a body.
