The body of a man has been found in water following a concern for welfare call. Emergency services were scrambled to Stratton Drive, in Platt Bridge, Wigan, just after 3.30pm this afternoon (Monday October 11).
It followed reports of a man in the water, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed.
