If there were ever a moment for hoteliers to show generosity, this is it From west London to the Brazilian beachside town of Trancoso, hoteliers are realising that since most of their properties will be sitting empty during the Covid19 crisis anyway, giving rooms to medical workers is a no-brainer.

So it was great to see Abramovich announcing he would be opening up his stadium-side Millennium Hotel Stamford Bridge in London to hospital staff for at least two months – and then for veteran footballers Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs to offer a similar arrangement at Hotel Football and Stock Exchange, their two hotels in Manchester.
