Simon Cowell
Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Cowell is the principal, founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company Syco.

Britain's Got Talent aired some changes on Saturday night, as the semi-finals finally aired. They were meant to air live on ITV in May but the coronavirus pandemic halted filming.

As they returned on Saturday night, they were pre-recorded and had a virtual audience and the judges were sat apart. Judge Simon Cowell was absent, due to a cycling accident recently, and was replaced by former BGT champion Ashley Banjo.

Eight acts were lined up to perform as usual, but hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly revealed that some of those would not be keeping a distance from one another, despite the show strictly following government guidelines amid the pandemic.
