Benidorm on alert after four family members test positive for coronavirus

Four members of a family have tested positive for coronavirus in Benidorm. It's the third coronavirus outbreak in the province of Alicante with eight new positive cases in the region in the past day bringing the total number of infections to 4,027.

According to local media the family members affected are well and all people they have come in contact with are being traced.

They did not say whether the family are tourists or locals. The latest outbreak comes as Spain reported the steepest daily jump in coronavirus infections in over two months with 580 new cases registered.
