Toddler gets 2nd degree burns after stepping on disposable BBQ buried on beach

A one-year-old boy was left in agony when he stepped on a red-hot disposable barbecue buried in sand on a holiday beach. Harry's mum Stephanie Rogers said the youngster started screaming after the accident in Exmouth in Devon and needed urgent treatment.

She said: "I picked him up and couldn't see anything that could have caused it. "My husband recoiled with his hand because the sand was incredibly hot.

It was scorching. "My husband got a shovel to have a look and it turned out there was a barbecue under there. "I have no idea how long it had been there.
