Benidorm beaches reopened to tourists and locals with new rules in place. Brits were able to soak up the sun on the beach as restrictions lifted for the first time in Spain.
Since there's nothing quite like a holiday on the beach, many tourists were left queuing for hours to get in to places.Ahead of arrival, holidaymakers were advised to book slots at the Playa de Levante beach to avoid waiting long.It had around 1,557 slots that can be reserved for morning, afternoon or evening.But it is believed many tourists were forced to wait two hours just to enter the beach.According to local media, 1,487 slots were reserved online one day, leaving just 70 spaces available for people booking in person.One angry holidaymaker said: "This is a shame.
