BBC Breakfast viewers have been left seriously distracted by Carol Kirkwood's dress - as she was scolded by Naga Munchetty. Carol, 60, was on hand to deliver today's weather reports and wore a pretty blue dress with white spot detailing.

The presenter explained to viewers about the high winds and rain battering parts of the country. As she spoke, the white arrows for wind and the clouds swirled on the screen, and the moment distracted some viewers watching at home.

Taking to Twitter, one BBC Breakfast viewer tweeted a screenshot of Carol in front of the map and said: "Interesting choice of dress for Carol this morning. "It’s almost as if she’s wearing the weather. #BBCBreakfast #CarolKirkwood #BBCweather." However, Carol found herself getting a telling off from Naga Munchetty during today's show after getting her name wrong.

As she came to the end of a report, she said: "The winds will be lighter, just a few showers coming in from the north-west and our temperatures ranging from nine to 13 degrees, Nana." A look of panic suddenly came across her face as she realised her mistake and she said: "Naga sorry, we've got a producer called Nana."
