Spain legend Xavi has donated €1m to a hospital in his homeland to help fight the coronavirus pandemic. Xavi, currently the manager of Qatar League side Al Sadd, along with his wife Nuria Cunillera, pledged the sum to the Hospital Clinic in Barcelona.
The hospital had launched a fundraising campaign in order to combat the virus, so that money could be raised to buy material and fund research and investigation.
Xavi, who won 25 major trophies during a glittering career with Barca as well as 133 caps for Spain, has decided to do what he can to help.
