New Barcelona manager Xavi has confirmed that renewing the contract of winger Ousmane Dembele is a "priority" for the Spanish giants.
Dembele, who is currently sidelined with a hamstring strain, just days after returning from a four-month lay-off with a serious knee injury, is out-of-contract at the Camp Nou in less than a year's time.
The Frenchman, who joined Barcelona from Bundesliga heavyweights Borussia Dortmund in August 2017, has been heavily linked with an exit from Barcelona upon the expiry of his current deal, most frequently with Manchester United.
United have often been linked with the 24-year-old and in the summer of 2020 he was the subject of a loan bid, after the Old Trafford club failed to sign Jadon Sancho.
