A retail manager who discovered his talent for cake making in an office bake off over lockdown is trying to raise £45,000 to open his own bakery.
Aiden Ryan, 30, was on furlough from his management job at Belstaff during the first lockdown when he decided to host an office bake off, using the popular competitive baking show’s theme for the week, loafs.
When Mr Ryan sat back and looked at the loaf cake he’d made, he thought it looked good enough to sell, and quickly decided to flog off slices of his sweet treats in aid of the NHS.
