Bake Off’s Sue Perkins 'incredibly hurt' over broken friendship with Paul Hollywood

Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc were the original co-hosts on The Great British Bake Off, when it aired on the BBC from 2010-2016, ahead of Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding.

The judges also had a decidedly different look with Mary Berry accompanying Paul Hollywood instead of Prue Leith. But when the show left the BBC in 2006 and moved to Channel 4 with Paul Hollywood being the only person from the original lineup staying on the show, relationships soured.

Sue, 50, spoke on Jessie Ware's podcast about the demise of her friendship with Paul, 54, after he jumped ship to another channel.

She divulged: "When we were there, he was incredibly fun. And then stuff happened that made us incredibly sad and incredibly hurt. "But he was always like family
