The star, 80, was mortified in 2017 when hours before the final was aired she revealed that Sophie Faldo had won. She said: “I did not realise how much of a national treasure it was until I inadvertently tweeted the winner on my first year which was absolutely terrible. “I had thousands of people saying ‘you have ruined my life.
