Roads bosses have backed down on a scheme branded “cyclopathic” by residents.Workmen fired into Harling Drive in Troon after the scheme was bull-dozed through without any locals having their say.As it took shape, drivers found it dangerous.And townspeople just scratched their heads in dismay.A line of parking spaces and so-called “build-outs” envisaged for benches , plants and trees have now been scrapped.And road markings on the bend at the Tee Room will now be changed to prevent cars swinging onto the opposite carriageway.And it seems on-paper practices adopted by the Ayrshire Roads Alliance don’t bear up to scrutiny in the real world.For a letter from ARA boss Kevin Braidwood to residents and seen by the Ayrshire Post said: “The scheme
