Baby 'taken to hospital after suffering injury' in Asda ceiling collapse

The child, believed to be around four-weeks-old, reportedly suffered an injury after panels landed on the trolley it was sat in.

Customers were evacuated from the Cavendish Street superstore following the incident at around 4.45pm today on Thursday (July 15).

Pictures taken inside the shop show a section of the ceiling damaged near the self-checkout tills with debris scattered across the floor.
