West of Scotland League season got off to sizzling start this afternoon in blazing temperatures - with Ayrshire sides shining on day one.
Glorious weather welcomed Ayrshire's 24 teams back into competitive action - and they didn't disappoint.A total of 37 goals were scored by the region's sides, with Saltcoats ace James Maxwell officially netting the maiden goal of the season.
In the Premier Division , Kilwinning Rangers and Darvel got their campaigns off to a flyer with 3-0 victories over Troon and Bonnyton Thistle respectively.
Hurlford United held off a late charge from Kilbrinie Ladeside at Blair Park to win 3-2. Glenafton triumphed 3-1 away to Irvine Meadow while Cumnock claimed three points with a 1-0 win at home to Beith.
