Ayrshire care home has been given the thumbs up by the Care Inspectorate following an unannounced spot check this month. Privately-owned Wallacetown Gardens, in Ayr’s Forbes Drive, was rated as ‘good’ across several key indicators.
The specialist home provides a care service to adults with Huntington’s disease, acquired brain injury, enduring mental health, a learning difficulty and/or physical needs and life-limiting conditions.The home also has two respite places for the same client groups.
At the time of the inspection, 20 people lived in the facility.The Care Inspectorate said the home rated ‘good’ in terms of supporting people’s wellbeing, their planned support and care and their care and support during the COVID-19 pandemic.Leadership.
