Two elite para-athletes from Ayrshire have been left heartbroken after being told there’s no room for them at the next Paralympic Games.
Maybole’s Kayleigh Haggo, and Ayr’s Gavin Drysdale, were left stunned after learning that the Games organisers excluded Frame Running from their schedule of events for Paris 2024.
The decision to slash the number of para-athletics events for the next Paralympics means Kayleigh and Gavin’s hopes of representing Team GB are over.The decision has been met with widespread condemnation.Now legendary Great Britain middle distance athlete Sebastian (Lord) Coe has been asked to intervene.
