asteroid the size of two football pitches will dash past the Earth just before 6am tomorrow morning.Named 2017 TS3, the huge ball of stone measures up to 720ft (219m) in diameter and will accelerate past the planet at a whopping 22,000 mph (35,000 kmh). With the average football pitch from 90m to 120m in length, that makes TS3 as big as two full-sized pitches. But even Lionel Messi would have a hard time getting the ball under control on the surface of the Earth-bound asteroid, which will pace across the solar system at 30 times the speed of sound.

Nasa reported the asteroid will pass by at around 5.51am GMT tomorrow, Tuesday November 2, Newsweek reported.Yet despite the "close approach", TS3 poses no threat to the (mostly) sleeping Brits.
