Asda has changed its shopping rules ahead of Easter weekend

Easter bank holiday is now just a matter of days away, so there's no doubt that supermarkets are set to see an increase in footfall, despite the self-distancing rules which have been set out by the government.

In a bid to ensure both shoppers and staff are kept safe over the weekend, Asda has today announced a new 'one adult per trolley' rule in its supermarkets.

Posting on social media, the official Asda account wrote: "We want to keep our customers and colleagues safe at this time. "So to help maintain our social distancing measures, we are limiting the total number of shoppers in our stores at any one time. "Where possible, we are asking customers to shop one adult per trolley." It is something that has touched all our lives.
