Arsenal are reportedly willing to triple Thomas Partey's wages in order to secure the signing of the Atletico Madrid defensive midfielder.
Thomas is a long-term Gunners target but has entered negotiations to extend his deal with Atletico. However, the renewal talks are in doubt as the Madrid club face financial difficulties amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Thomas' current contract with Atletico runs until 2023 and has a £44.5million release clause. He has been a mainstay in Diego Simeone's side this season, making 34 appearances in all competitions and scoring three goals.
But Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is so set on bringing the 27-year-old to the Emirates Stadium that he is willing to triple his wages, according to Goal.
