Arsenal have signed their first player of the summer with Nuno Tavares joining in a £7m deal from Benfica.The left-back has arrived at the Emirates Stadium ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.He will be tasked with providing support and competition for Scotland international Kieran Tierney.Tavares is only 21 years of age but has a bright future ahead of him and is part of Portugal's Under-21s side.The defender will have to isolate in England before joining up with his new team-mates for the start of pre-season training.And Mikel Arteta is delighted to have his first recruit of the 2021/22 campaign through the door.The Spanish boss said: “We welcome Nuno to the club.
