Arsenal and Liverpool are both being investigated by the FA following a melee during their Premier League clash on Sunday. There was an angry confrontation between the players during the match, which was one of the best games of the season so far.
One flashpoint occurred in the second half after referee Michael Oliver gave a penalty to Arsenal. Since then, the matter has been referred to the Football Association.An investigation is now pending with the FA set to speak to the match officials before launching further action on the matter.An FA spokesperson said: "We are aware of an incident that took place during the match between Arsenal and Liverpool.
We are in dialogue with the match officials and will review the details of the incident."Bukayo Saka went on to score the resulting penalty which ended up being the winning goal in a 3-2 victory for the Gunners.
