Arsenal have reportedly agreed a loan deal with Atletico Madrid for Lucas Torreira. The move will free up funds for the Gunners and enable them to snap up their top target this summer window, Houssem Aouar from Lyon.
Atletico still need to offload Hector Herrera though, before they can officially confirm the Torreira deal has gone through.
Arsenal had been looking for a buyer for Torreira, who has been deemed surplus to requirements in north London by boss Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners slapped a £22million price tag on the Uruguayan's head amid interest from Roma and Torino. But neither club was prepared to pay this figure, prompting Arsenal to make Torreira available for loan.
