Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte has revealed he has been told by club chiefs not to do any more interviews with Italian media. It comes after the fiery Italian boss appeared to criticise the Spurs board’s decision-making in a controversial interview with Sky Sports Italia earlier this week.Conte suggested his squad had been weakened after allowing four “important” players to leave in the January transfer window, while recruiting just two replacements who were not ready to make the side competitive. And after facing criticism for his comments, Conte hit back on Friday by stating the English media were out to “cause a problem” between he and chairman Daniel Levy.Conte said: “I don’t understand why someone wants to create a problem with me; not only me but also coaches in the past.“I read a lot of stories in the past about the club and it creates a problem with the coach and the chairman.“The chairman knows very well my thoughts.
If I have to speak with him, I go to speak with him. It’s not important for me to go to the media. I can speak to him.“I was a bit disturbed by this situation especially because I had an interview with the Italian media.
