A GUEST on Antiques Roadshow was left lost for words after his £7.99 charity shop purchase was given an eye-watering valuation.
The man brought a number of his collectable ceramic pieces to be valued as the show pulled up at Sefton Park in Liverpool. Lars Tharp, a Chinese ceramics expert, was on hand to give his verdict on the pieces brought in by the man who admitted he had "no idea" what they were worth.
The most intriguing item was a double green vase, which he had picked up from a charity shop and spent less than £8 on the item.
He was stunned as he found out the vase was actually worth a lot more. Giving some background about the vase, expert Lars shared: "In fact, it's not one vase, it's two vases.
