Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury could split a purse of up to £140million if the heavyweight rivals fight next year. And the winner will more than double his earnings in a second fight after a deal was agreed in principle.
The British duo have been on a collision course since Fury stopped Deontay Wilder in their rematch earlier this year. Fury will have to defeat Wider for a second time - and Joshua must first face Kubrat Pulev - before the heavyweight division can be unified.
But if contracts are signed, Fury and Joshua would each accept 50 per cent of the revenue generated, likely to be between £60m and £70m each.
