Anthony Joshua’s delayed world heavyweight title defence against Kubrat Pulev should take place in Britain in November. Eddie Hearn was forced to postpone the clash this summer because of coronavirus and is in talks with Pulev’s promoter Bob Arum about staging it in front of a crowd.

Pulev is the mandatory challenger for Joshua’s IBF crown and Matchroom MD Hearn said: “I spoke to Bob Arum last night. November is the absolute focus for Pulev against Joshua. “The way things have moved in the last few weeks here, I’m really confident we can get a crowd here for Joshua against Pulev. “If we’re not allowed the Principality Stadium, we’ll happily go to Manchester Arena or The O2.
