Andrew Marr's father Donald Marr has died. The BBC host, 60, revealed the heartbreaking news on Twitter on Friday night and shared that Nick Robinson will present The Andrew Marr show on Sunday whilst he takes time out to be with his family.
The political journalist penned on the micro-blogging site: "Good luck and thanks Nick Robinson for taking over Sunday’s show.
My lovely dad has just died and I am out of action." Following the sad announcement, the broadcaster was sent a number of kind messages were posted to him on social networking platform.
Naga Munchetty, who presents BBC Breakfast typed: "Sending love and condolences x." Julia Hartley-Brewer added: "I’m so sorry Andrew.
