Andrew Marr to miss politics show following father’s death

Andrew Marr has said that Nick Robinson will host his politics show this Sunday following the death of his father. The 60-year-old was due to interview guests including Health Secretary Matt Hancock, shadow health secretary Jonathan Ashworth, actress Kristin Scott Thomas and theatre director Sir Nicholas Hytner.

He announced the news on Twitter, writing: “Good luck and thanks Nick Robinson for taking over Sunday’s show. My lovely dad has just died and I am out of action.” A number of journalists, broadcasters and politicians sent message of support and condolences.
